The PEMAC GTA Chapter welcomed Rob Lash, President of the Plant Engineering & Maintenance Association of Canada (PEMAC) & Manager of Optimized Maintenance, Toronto Water, City of Toronto to speak at it's August 21, 2015 Chapter Meeting. Rob presented: Toronto Waters Reliability Program Overview: With a View to Improve Asset Management.In Rob's role as the Manager of Optimized Maintenance at Toronto Water, over the past several years much has been developed to improve the maintenance and reliability of Toronto Water. You will be shown the key areas of the program and some demos of the CMMS set up, planning and scheduling process and tools; foundational training investments; performance metrics; and the relationship the program has to Asset Management as Toronto Water moves to improve in this area.In Rob's role as the President of PEMAC's Board of Directors, and his extended role on the Global Forum on Maintenance & Asset Management (GFMAM), he has a unique insight into how organizations across Canada and even globally are managing their assets in a more strategic way. During this presentation, Rob will provide insight into these advancements across Canada, and how the profession is becoming more recognized and strategic. He will parallel these insights to the global movements and show how working together as a chapter, members can advance the profession and bring more value to organizations who manage all types of assets.
