Part 3 of 5: Maintenance and Reliability staff working from home? Ideas for leveraging their time (Eastern Time)

Registration is closed for this event

Join PEMAC for a special 5 part virtual round-table series on COVID-19 response issues. The third instalment will be taking place on Thursday, April 30th at 12:00 pm Eastern Time.

Topic 3:
Maintenance and Reliability staff working from home? Ideas for leveraging their time

Description:
With many people at home either due to the closure of their operations, self-isolation protocols, or as a proactive measure to reduce non-essential staff on site, some might question how these individuals can be productive, particularly when assets are not operating. However, if employees have access to their CMMS/EAM/ERP data systems from home, here are some value-added activities that employees and employers should consider undertaking given the time they now have. Note these are in no particular order as priorities would be context-specific, and specific procedures are omitted for this same reason.

Presenter:
Jean-Pierre (J.P.) Pascoli, P.Eng, CMRP, CAMA

Bio:
J.P. is the director of physical asset management & reliability for Cameco Corporation, a Canadian uranium mining and nuclear fuel manufacturer with operations in both Saskatchewan and Ontario. He has a total of 26 years of experience in a variety of primary resource industries including mining & mineral processing, pulp & paper, and forest products.

Holding a degree in mechanical engineering from Queen’s University, and a certificate in physical asset management from the University of Toronto, J.P. is a licenced professional engineer in three Canadian provinces and is fluent in both of Canada’s official languages. He is also a certified maintenance and reliability professional with SMRP and a certified asset management assessor through World Partners in Asset Management.

J.P. has been a contributing member of PEMAC for 15 years and has been on its board of directors since 2013, serving as vice-president in recent years. He was recently appointed PEMAC’s representative and team lead for the Global Forum for Maintenance & Asset Management’s project to revise its Maintenance Framework publication.

J.P. makes his home in Cobourg, Ontario.
