* Technical Specialist roles for committees are mainly focused on the development or review and improvement of relevant subject matter such as course ware, frameworks, abstracts, papers, and standards. The type of technical knowledge required will vary significantly from entry-level to expert depending on the requirements of the committee. The necessary level and subject matter will be described in the role description. Some technical specialists on a committee may make non-technical contributions as well depending on what needs to be done.

Micro Volunteers:

Any team may put out a request for volunteers through Volunteer Services for a “Micro Volunteer”, meaning someone to carry out a specific, time limited task(s) for a project.

Board Appointed Roles: Some roles identified above indicate that the Board will appoint the volunteer to their role. In these cases, a role description will be created and posted, applicants will be invited to apply and will complete the appropriate screening process as described on the following page. When all candidates have been screened, the names and a brief will be submitted to the Board of Directors for review, discussion and ultimately selection of the successful candidate for that role. Once selected, the candidate will complete the assignment steps described below.
