A Volunteer has a right to:
- A suitable assignment with clearly defined lines of support to the lead;
- Be treated as a colleague, take part in case planning and be encouraged to make suggestions;
- Be trusted with the confidential information required to carry out assignments;
- Be provided with orientation, training, and recognition for service;
- Be included in providing regular feedback relating to their volunteer contributions;
- Be reimbursed for appropriate out-of-pocket expenses where funds are available and pre-approved.

If PEMAC investigates a volunteer, only pertinent information will be released to the investigating worker. Volunteers may request disclosure to see their file minus any 3rd party information.
Health and Safety:
Health and Safety standards jurisdictions for members relate to the province they live in. Because PEMAC is almost exclusively a virtual organization, PEMACs responsibility primarily lays in ensuring that participants engage in ergonomically safe practices for meetings.
