PEMAC Represents Canada on the Global Stage at GFMAM in Colombia

From June 8–10, the Global Forum on Maintenance and Asset Management (GFMAM) convened in the vibrant city of Cartagena, Colombia, followed by the 8th World Congress on Maintenance and Asset Management (June 11–13). Coinciding with Global Maintenance Day on June 9, the events created a dynamic atmosphere that underscored the growing international recognition of maintenance as a critical discipline.

PEMAC was proudly represented by Past President J.P. Pascoli and current President Nigel D’Souza. Together, they participated in high-level discussions focused on advancing maintenance and asset management practices worldwide.

Our continued engagement in global forums ensures PEMAC remains aligned with international developments while bringing forward the Canadian perspective. Key topics at the GFMAM meeting included member organization updates and the coordination of collaborative projects, which will result in publicly available guidance and knowledge documents.

Through active participation in these initiatives, PEMAC members are helping to shape the future of the profession—ensuring we remain at the forefront of evolving best practices. These contributions reflect the depth of expertise within our community and reinforce Canada’s leadership in maintenance and asset management on the global stage.
