Mississauga (June 9, 2025) – PEMAC Asset Management Association of Canada announces that the Awareness in Asset Management Certificate (AAMC) is now available to individuals who have successfully completed Course One of the Asset Management Professional (AMP) program.
Aligned with the World Partners in Asset Management (WPiAM) Global Certification Scheme, the AAMC formally acknowledges the completion of a recognized introductory education in asset management and serves as a valuable starting point for those planning to pursue more advanced learning or certification opportunities.
The first course of PEMAC’s six course AMP program, titled: Asset Management Principles and Strategic Development, is ideal for individuals looking to establish a strong foundational understanding of asset management.
AMP Course One is delivered online through Northern Lakes College in a cohort-based, NLC Anytime, Anywhere format. The flexible, asynchronous delivery model allows participants to work through the weekly lessons at times that suit their schedule. The ten-week course is available throughout the year, with the next course beginning the week of July 15, 2025.

The AMP program introduces participants to the latest in strategic asset management thinking and sets the stage for developing the capacity to engage others and build knowledge and skill in key subject areas Aligned with the ISO55000 series of standards and GFMAM's Asset Management Landscape, the program is designed for mid-career professionals from a variety of backgrounds (IT, engineering and business management) across both public and private sectors, who have responsibility for managing decisions with respect to the core life cycle functions such as design, selection, operation and maintenance of an organization’s assets. Completion of the six-course program leads to the Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) certification.
