Launch: Body of Knowledge Committee

The PEMAC Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Alan Johnson has accepted an appointment as Chair of the new Body of Knowledge Committee.  In this role Al will assemble and lead a team of subject matter experts drawn from the PEMAC membership to approve and categorize new content to the BoK, work to further define and document related business processes, as well as continuously improve the face of, and navigation tool for, the "Knowledge" section of our new website, complete with its models and glossary of terms.   Other known initiatives at this time include moving the PEMAC Maintenance Management framework to a publication grade document, work which we expect will itself to strengthening PEMAC's contribution to future editions of the GFMAM Maintenance Management framework document. 

Alan has been a long standing supporter of PEMAC in many roles and functions. He is an active MMP instructor, Past President of the Alberta Chapter, past Director and Vice President of the Board, as well as the Sergio Guy Award winner for 2011.

J.-P. Pascoli has agreed to act as the committee sponsor and liaison on behalf of the Board of Directors and the existing Body of Knowledge project team members have agreed to continue as committee members and to help define the committees roles, functions and terms of reference.

Interested members should watch for opportunities to participate on the Body of Knowledge committee or in continued BoK project work to be announced.
