Fort McMurray, AB (May 12th ,2026) - PEMAC Asset Management Association of Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Wolf as President of the Fort McMurray Chapter. The Fort McMurray Chapter is one of PEMAC’s longest-standing chapters, a vital part of the PEMAC national network providing opportunities for practitioners to connect, learn and contribute to the practice of maintenance, reliability, and asset management.
Elizabeth Wolf brings extensive experience to this volunteer leadership role. She has served on numerous boards and committees, including as the founding Executive Director of the Justin Slade Youth Foundation. Known for her strong communication skills and ability to build relationships and lead through change, Elizabeth has developed a reputation for uniting people and teams to achieve shared goals. Professionally, she serves as a Regional Repair Planner with Finning International Inc. and was previously a member of the Fort McMurray Chapter Leadership Team before accepting the role of President. In her new role, Elizabeth will lead the Chapter’s strategic initiatives, expand its leadership team, and continue to advance networking opportunities and asset management best practices within the community.
“I’ve known Elizabeth since 2007, and throughout that time she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to building strong, supportive communities,” said Justin Canning, Manager of Asset Management, GIS and Insurance Services with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. “She is relational, dependable, and deeply dedicated. I’m confident she will bring those same qualities to her role as Chapter President.” Elizabeth succeeds Nayef Mahgoub, who is stepping down after more than a decade of leadership. During his tenure, the Fort McMurray Chapter grew into a hub for the local maintenance and asset management community—fostering professional connections and supporting continuous learning and certification.
“I step down from this role with a deep sense of gratitude, pride, and reflection,” said Nayef Mahgoub. “This experience has significantly shaped my career and professional growth. It has been a privilege to work alongside such dedicated and supportive colleagues.” “We thank Nayef for his many years of dedicated service and vision,” added Cindy Snedden, Executive Director of PEMAC. “His leadership has helped many professionals elevate their practice and build local relationships. We are grateful that Nayef intends to continue his involvement as he turns over the reins to Elizabeth and we look forward to the Chapter’s continued success under her guidance.”
