Happy Volunteer Day

International volunteer day

Today, PEMAC proudly celebrates the members who give their time, energy, and expertise to strengthen the Canadian asset and maintenance management community through volunteering. The aligned and collaborative effort of many makes it possible to deliver impactfully on PEMAC'S mission of promoting and enabling excellence in maintenance, reliability and asset management.

We would like to acknowledge the measurable impact volunteer contributions made in the 2025 calendar year:

  • 215 members recorded over 800 hours in PEMAC volunteer roles.
  • 37% of those who volunteered had more than one role

Your efforts included:

  • Delivering the first-ever sold-out MainTrain Conference event
  • Hosting over 300 people at Chapter Events across the country
  • Reviewing award nominations and abstracts, and certification applications
  • Maintaining and improving PEMAC Course Curricula (including MMP, AMP and CAMA Prep Courses)
  • Completing development of a new “Asset Master Data” Course
  • 70 members helped us to pilot the new Mentorship Program and provided feedback to assist in the official launch of the program
  • Gaining board approval and embarking on the creation and promotion of the Shutdown Turnaround and Outages Education and Certification program
  • Development of a “State of Asset Management in Canada” Survey, report structure and related presentations
  • Advancing PEMAC's strategic goals on national and international fronts
  • Defining Terms of Reference for Advocacy
  • Initiating the Technical Leadership Council
  • Actively participating in the projects and providing stewardship to both the Global Forum on Maintenance and Asset Management and the World Partners in Asset Management

Together, we are making a difference!

With appreciation,
The PEMAC Board and Staff
