PEMAC Asset Management Association of Canada and the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP) are proud to announce that the associations have entered into an extended partnership agreement.
The associations have already been successfully collaborating for over ten years on the Global Forum of Maintenance and Asset Management (GFMAM) and are two of the founding partners of the World Partners in Asset Management (WPiAM), working closely on initiatives including the Global Certification Scheme in Asset Management.
Through discussions that have culminated in this Memorandum of Understanding, PEMAC, and SMRP have identified a number of avenues to expand their collaboration through focused attention on education, certification, and networking opportunities.
PEMAC hosted an information session for SMRP members recently to introduce SMRP members to PEMAC’s eight-course Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) education program, which is delivered live online or in person through accredited teaching institutions across Canada. The MMP program is well aligned with the five pillars of the SMRP Body of Knowledge providing practitioners with the tools, techniques, strategies, and skills necessary for effective management of a business’s physical assets.
A second information session was held for SMRP members to share more details about PEMAC's Asset Management Professional (AMP) program and asset management competency-based certifications.
PEMAC and SMRP will be scheduling an information session in the coming months for both PEMAC and SMRP members to learn more about the maintenance, reliability, and asset management certifications offered by each organization.
PEMAC and SMRP have set up discount codes so that members of each organization will receive member pricing for all conferences and professional development events offered by both organizations.
