PEMAC Launches Expanded Leveraging Asset Master Data Course

Mississauga (March 4, 2026) – PEMAC Asset Management Association of Canada has expanded its Leveraging Asset Master Data course, designed for private and public sector professionals, in capital projects, finance, maintenance, operations, and asset management roles, who influence the quality of asset master data during design, commissioning and ongoing operations.

The course prepares participants how to build and use high-quality asset master data and transactional information, particularly critical as high-quality asset information begins long before assets are operational. Decisions made during planning, design and procurement directly impact the data available for maintenance and operations teams to manage an asset effectively.

After a successful pilot offering, the instructor-led, expanded curriculum delivers deeper knowledge and a broader range of practical applications to strengthen an organization’s maintenance readiness, improve reliability and support safe, cost-effective performance across the asset lifecycle.

“This course is designed to close the persistent gaps between project teams, maintenance, and operations when it comes to data and asset information. This expanded version is full of practical tools and examples that participants can use immediately. Organizations can strengthen their maintenance management readiness by applying the fundamentals taught in this course,” shares Abrar Ahmad, PEMAC Instructor, and Maintenance and Reliability Specialist.

Northern Lakes College will deliver the 30‑hour course live online over ten weeks, beginning April 23, 2026. Registration is now open for professionals across Canada and around the world.

“Northern Lakes College is proud to partner with PEMAC to deliver this expanded and highly practical course. Organizations across the country are seeking ways to leverage data more strategically, and this program gives professionals the tools they need to strengthen asset management practices. We look forward to welcoming learners this Spring,” Josh de Vries, Dean, Business, Academics, Trades and Regional Stewardship, Northern Lakes College.
