Mississauga (December 11, 2025) – PEMAC Asset Management Association of Canada announces that Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) will deliver the Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification program. This collaboration expands access to world-class maintenance and asset management education in Atlantic Canada, providing maintenance and reliability professionals with the strategies, techniques, tools and skills necessary for effective management of an organization’s physical assets.
Developed and maintained by PEMAC, the MMP program is designed for practitioners in a variety of roles including maintenance and reliability managers, superintendents, coordinators, planners and schedulers working in public and private sector organizations, responsible for operations and/or maintenance of complex or critical physical assets.
The program’s eight modules provide breadth and depth, culminating in a capstone project. Successful completion of the eight-module program leads to the widely recognized MMP certification.
“We are thrilled to welcome Nova Scotia Community College as a partner,” shares Edith Mackenzie, Chair of PEMAC’s Education Committee. “Their commitment to high-quality education and workforce development aligns perfectly with PEMAC’s mission to promote and enable excellence in maintenance, reliability and asset management across industries.”
Professionals in the Atlantic Canada region will now have greater access to flexible learning options which support career growth and organizational success. NSCC will deliver MMP modules live online through its Workforce Development group, starting in early 2026. Private training opportunities will also be available for organizations who wish to provide onsite training to their cross-functional teams which can be tailored and scheduled in a way that suits their needs.
“NSCC is proud to partner with PEMAC to expand access to the MMP program across Atlantic Canada. Through our continuing education and employer training options, maintenance professionals in the manufacturing and municipal sectors can build the advanced skills and leadership capacity needed to drive reliability, productivity and operational excellence in their organizations”, remarks Matt Adams, Manager, Workforce Development. “NSCC is eager to support the continued growth of industry and enhanced municipal service levels in our province, and this partnership represents an important step in strengthening the talent pipeline.”
