On January 22, members of the PEMAC Calgary Chapter had the opportunity to tour WITRON’s highly automated facility, and the visit was a great success.
A special thank you to Michael Boulet, Housni Kamal and Andy Young for delivering an insightful overview of WITRON’s maintenance, reliability and asset management strategies. The presenters highlighted how WITRON sustains and continuously improves these programs over time, emphasizing the importance of tight integration between operations and maintenance.
During the facility walk-through, attendees were particularly impressed by the high standards of cleanliness and the extensive level of automation embedded in the storage, picking and product-handling systems. The tour sparked thoughtful discussion among participants, with many questions and ideas exchanged on how similar practices could be applied in their own organizations.
