JP Wiser's Experience - Tour & Tasting

We're thrilled to welcome you to the JP Wiser's Experience Distillery Tour at Hiram Walker & Sons. 

The tour is approximately 45 minutes long; guests will embark on a guided journey through the Distillery, featuring an in-depth story of Canadian Whisky history, while getting a close-up look at the whisky-making process inside the Distillery. Beginning in the JP Wiser's Experience Centre building, guests will be given a comprehensive safety briefing to ensure all attendees are aware of any risks and key safety precautions taken while on tour and will be provided with the necessary PPE before the tour commences.

A brief introduction to the Hiram Walker & Sons Distillery kicks off the tour and then guests will walk 250m to the Distillery building. Weather depending, a quick overview of other production buildings will help the group understand the immersive process of making spirits at our site. The group will head up three flights of stairs to the production floor of the Distillery to experience the whisky making process in real time. After a guided tour through the whisky production process, guests will walk back to the JP Wiser's Experience Centre for the whisky tasting featuring a lineup of our award- winning Canadian whiskies.

All guests must be of Legal Drinking Age in Ontario (19+) -no exceptions-

Guests must wear closed-toe shoes to enter the Distillery.

Please wear comfortable, full-covered shoes for the Distillery Tour- sandals are not permitted and we advise against heels. A few more notes to keep in mind:

• The Distillery is very warm, temperatures inside can reach anywhere from 95-100 F.
• The Distillery tour is NOT fully accessible. There are several sets of stairs. We advise against participating for any guests who have severe mobility limitations or severe health concerns.
• Due to safety reasons, assistive mobility devices such as wheelchairs or walkers will not be able to navigate the floor level changes on the tour.
• On the production 3rd floor, metal grated walkways allow visibility to floors below.
