Speaker Bios:

Mark – Electrical Engineer, graduating from TUNS in 1998. Worked for a consulting firm for a few years. Started with Stora in 2003, Storaenso, NewPage, then Port Hawkesbury Paper LP as an E&I maintenance engineer for the PM2 paper machine area. In 2013 I took the PM2 Maintenance Team Leader position.  Started the MMP Program in May 2019 and completed module 8 in December 2020.

Jason – Jason is the Fiber Line Manager at Port Hawkesbury Paper and a Licensed Professional Engineer in the province of Nova Scotia.  He graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in 2001.  He is a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) and Level 2 Machine Lubrication Technician thorough the International Council of Machinery Lubrication (ICML.)  He is currently working on the Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) designation through PEMAC. 

Nicolle – Nicolle has been with PEMAC Asset Management Association of Canada for over six years, and in the role of Education and Professional Development Program Manager for the past four. In her national role, she engages with professionals and organizations who wish to expand their own and their team’s knowledge of maintenance, reliability and asset management. Supporting curriculum maintenance and development, Nicolle also collaborates with teaching institutions and instructors across Canada. Passionate about improving the professionalism and skills of PEMAC’s members, Nicolle works to build awareness around the world of PEMAC’s educational offerings and certifications, as well as the skills that participants in the programs bring to organizations.

Topic:

I have seen the benefits of the Maintenance Management Professional program through teaching the Capstone Module and encourage anyone who might be interested in advancing their maintenance, reliability, and asset management careers, to attend this upcoming event.  A recent graduate will share his capstone project for implementing a hose replacement program and hear how Port Hawkesbury Paper is using the program as a training tool for their employees.  More details about the program will be shared from the education and professional development program manager Nicolle Guillen.
